MATH MODELING
COMPETITION

Show off your skills in the Math Modelling Competition

Category I: Question

Up to 3 participants in a group from any form of the same level.
This category requires students to answer all questions allocated to their category for their submission to be considered valid.

Category II: Poster

Up to 3 participants in a group from any form of the same level. 
To create your poster, choose any of the following topics:

  • Ratios/Math in Nature

  • Math of our Ancestors

  • Math in Caribbean Architecture and Engineering.

Participants are allowed to enter both sections in one of three levels:

  • Junior: Forms 1-3 (Secondary School)

  • Intermediate: Forms 4-5 (Secondary School)

  • Senior: Form 6 (Secondary School)

Choose from the list of topics below:

Submissions Open: Wednesday 8th November 2023.
Submissions Close:
Friday 19th January 2024 at 11:59PM

Note: Selected participants may be asked to make a short oral presentation on their poster/model at the UWI Math Fair 2024 on Thursday 1st February 2024.
